![]() ![]() The Clock app has both a stopwatch and a countdown timer. Guess what? There's an app that ships with every iOS device currently made which will help you be mindful of your time on tasks. This is to avoid fatigue, primarily, but also so that you are making sure you get to all the stuff you have to do in a day, not just the one thing you're communing with that morning. Brain scientists and productivity experts agree that there are good reasons to break up marathon work sessions into smaller chunks. You'll also find smaller stuff starts slipping through the cracks. Think about it like this: How many times have you become engrossed in your work so much that you "lost track of time?" While being in a state of flow and working on something for a long stretch can be beneficial, over time you'll find that you tire easily and get "burnt out" after too many of these marathons sessions. You can disable notifications at any time in your settings menu. ![]() At the end of the day you will have a better idea of where your time went, and by not getting bogged down in one or two things during the day, you'll find you can better cope with the myriad items you happen to be juggling. While the Pomodoro technique might not be for everyone, simply setting a timer to keep track of how long you're working on a given task is absolutely vital. Here are some ways to get those tactical moments - the day-to-day stuff - managed and under your control.Īt any given time, what are you doing? Probably the most significant thing you aren't doing is being mindful of the time you are spending on tasks. How do some people manage this while others are constantly rushing around late to everything? I was certainly guilty of this until I started minding my time in small chunks. Or, as one author has framed it, you have 168 hours in a week to accomplish what you want and move forward toward your goals. Thank you EVER SO MUCH for making this terrific timing app!!! I GREATLY appreciate it!!! Please keep up the wonderful work that you are doing too.Every day you have the same 24 hours as the rest of us to get what is likely a crushing amount of work done and out of your way so you can spend some time relaxing. HOWLER TIMER CHANGE ALARM SOUND FREEThe only way that I would ever rid myself of this great app is if I'm forced to in order to free up some memory on my computer. HOWLER TIMER CHANGE ALARM SOUND UPDATEIf you can and woulld, it would really be greatly appreciated by me to have in an update where this app can stay on the menu bar at the top of my monitor screen then that would be great. The howl really does sound like a wolf howling at the moon! The countdown of the last ten seconds with duck quacks was a nice surprise too. However, with how great this one still is for me, I cannot dock this app even a partial star because of how it suits all of my timing needs. In fact I lvoe it so much that I got rid of another timer that I had which had a quality about it that I rather liked which is it would stay on the menu bar at the top of my computer monitor screen which I wish this one could do too. I ABSOLUTELY love this timer!!! It meets my timing needs. So I was THRILLED to find not only a timer that did these things reliably, but also could open several timers at once, and allow me to save my favorite timers~ AND with the unexpected surprise of having lots of personality, too (I love the howling wolf interface!) When the wolf howls at the moment I have finally completed my routine, I feel like a real champion! Thank you, Howler Timer~ I’ll be looking forward for any future updates, but I am happy and having fun with this just as it is, too. As it turned it, it was hard just to find a timer that was accurate or made any sounds at all. “ so I wouldn’t have to count the reps in my workout. I love the wolf and the crow More creatures (and other sounds) would be awesome! Also, if I had my every wish, I was originally looking for an app that could be set to count down ten second intervals as, “10, 20, 30. If the developer plans to do any future upgrades, it’d be fun to have more sounds. I like the loop feature in Howler Pro, well worth the little price. I was surprised how difficult it was to find a good timer and stopwatch counter with audio. ![]()
